  Council Information

The name of our Council is St. Anthony. The Council serves the Parish of St Anthony of Padua and the greater Bunkie, Louisiana area. The Grand Knight for 2008 - 2009 is Charlie Vernon You can contact him via email .

Council Meetings

We meet on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00PM, in the St. Anthony Knights of Columbus Hall on 104 South Louisiana Ave., Bunkie, Louisiana 71322.

About Our Council

St. Anthony's Council was organized by a group of Catholic men in the parish of St. Anthony of Padua in 1922. The first Grand Knight was Mr. R.E. Cecil, who served from 1922 through 1924. Grand Knight Dr. J. L. Kuall (1947 - 1949) organized a building committee. All members were assessed a set amount (around $250) to build a new hall. This was a very successful project. The hall was completed in 1949 and remains as built today.
